Control of Flying Insects

Prevention and control of flying insects

Flying insects can originate either from within the facility or from outside. In a professional and industrial environment they must however be controlled at all stages. Often their presence can be an indication for shortcomings in the proofing or hygiene: open doors, defect sewers, accumulation of organic material, inaccurate cleaning.

Whilst most insects can be monitored with ultraviolet traps, some, like meal moths, require specific pheromone traps.

Due to their very short life cycle, some insects have a tremendous capacity to develop resistance. Hence, when an increase of insect pressure is established, the selection of an accurate treatment is essential.
